Course Outline
1. Responsibility and Laws
In this section, you will go over the current Federal Commercial vehicle drivers hours of service regulation (SOR/2005-313). As well as all responsibilities of the driver, mangers, and company of the delivery service.
2. Logs and Recording Devices
Commercial drivers must fill out a daily log which accounts for all of the drivers on-duty and off-duty time. This section will show you how to properly fill out and maintain a proper driver log, as well as all of the recording devices that may be used to track your daily progress.
3. Daily Limits and Deferrals
This section of the course will provide you with the knowledge of how to properly schedule a workday, the daily driving limits and required downtime, as well as any deferrals that may be taken to extend or delay a cycle of driving.
4. Emergency Exemptions and Driving Conditions
This course will also go over any exemptions that may come up do to a sudden, urgent, or unexpected situation that required immediate attention. These situations usually occur when the safety or security of people is at risk, or maybe in jeopardy from inaction.
