Workplace Incident Investigation
This program will teach you what you need to know to predict, prevent, and respond to workplace incidents, as recommended by Canadian Standards Association Z1005-17: Incident Investigation. The skills learned in this course can also be a useful tool in identifying and eliminating hazards that lead to less serious incidents that result in minor injuries, lost time, or damaged equipment.
This training is ideal for anyone in a supervisory or health and safety related role. It can also be beneficial for workers who want to develop the skills to identify and address potential hazards or near-misses before an incident occurs.
This training program will take about 1.5-2 hours to complete. It contains 6 chapters and a final exam. Your training is fully narrated and includes interactive activities at the end of every chapter. Once you have completed the final exam, you will be issued a wallet sized certificate of completion as well as a 8.5″ x 11″ diploma as proof of training. Your certificate is valid for a period of 3 years, at which point, refresher training will be required to maintain your certification.
Throughout the training program, you will also be provided with downloadable resources which can be used as reference materials for building an incident investigation kit. Once your training is complete, you will have unlimited access to the training materials and resources if you require a refresher on the information or need to re-download any resources or forms.
This incident investigation training course has been developed in accordance with CSA standard Z1005-17 and is intended to be completed entirely online.
