LOCKOUT / TAGOUT TRAINING
This Online Lockout / Tagout Course will guide you through all aspects of Locking and Tagging out machinery and energized equipment, from the basic procedures for lock and tag out, to information about worker, supervisor, and employer responsibilities.
Our comprehensive course will explain in detail what you need to know, emphasize key points and test your knowledge retention after each module. This course is required by many industries and you should check with your employer to see whether or not you need Lockout / Tagout Training. After completion of this course, you will be issued a certificate of completion.
Proper Lockout Tagout procedures should be followed to ensure the safety of workers if you are providing maintenance on an energized machine with moving parts or a direct energy current supplied to it, if parts need to be replaced on a machine, if a machine or piece of equipment is broken or not currently working properly prior to maintenance.

Course Outline
1. Introduction to LOTO
Chapter one provides a basic overview of what lockout tagout is, who is required to be trained in LOTO procedures and regulations, and how to properly lockout and tag machinery and energized equipment.
2. Training Requirements
Chapter two covers the assignment of responsibility for all people who will be working on energized equipment, which includes workers, supervisors, and employers.
3. Lockout Tagout Regulations
Throughout chapter three you will be the specific regulations around locking out energized equipment and machinery to ensure they are incapable of moving while they are being worked on, and the proper tagging procedures to make sure everyone is aware of what is happening.
4. LOTO Devices
Chapter four provides a detailed overview of the devices you will use to lock out energized equipment and machinery to ensure it will not move or become powered while it is being maintained or worked on. This inludes the use of physical locks and baracades, caution tape, and even supervisor signed tags and notices.
5. Lockout Tagout Procedures
Chapter five provides an overview of the occupational safety and health administration policies for the proper locking out and tagging of machinery and energized equipment to ensure the proper workers, supervisors, and employers are aware of what is going on, and what to do incase of an emergency.
